NSCP Appoints Melissa Loner as Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Executive Director

(Cornwall Bridge, CT) April 22, 2024 – The National Society of Compliance Professionals (NSCP), the premier non-profit membership organization for compliance professionals in the financial services industry, is delighted to announce the appointment of Melissa Loner as its new Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Executive Director. Melissa, a highly regarded figure in the compliance community and the most recent Board Chair of NSCP, brings over 25 years of extensive experience in the financial services industry to her new role.

Melissa's career has spanned various capacities throughout the financial services industry including a focus as a broker-dealer and Registered Investment Adviser Chief Compliance Officer. This diverse background equips her uniquely to steer NSCP towards new heights, particularly at a time when the industry is navigating significant regulatory changes.

Melissa's responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day operations, enhancing member services, regulatory relations and leading strategic planning efforts to ensure NSCP remains at the forefront of compliance education and advocacy. Her role will be pivotal in implementing innovative strategies that reflect the evolving needs of compliance professionals across the country.

Prior to joining NSCP, Melissa served as the Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Avantax, and held significant roles at Premier Wealth Management® and Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. Her extensive credentials include an MBA from American Military University, and multiple FINRA Series licenses.
