Publications Committee - Professional Development Subcommittee Member

Description: The Publications Committee is looking for NSCP members to join the committee’s Professional Development (PD) Subcommittee.

Publications Committee members have the following responsibilities:

  • Participate in monthly Committee meetings;
  • Determine timely topics for articles;
  • Solicit articles and authors for NSCP Currents;
  • Review articles prior to publication; and
  • Strive to improve the publications of the organization;

As a member of the PD Subcommittee, you will:

  • Identify timely topics with a PD focus
  • Review PD-focused articles and work with authors throughout the editing process; and
  • Work with other members of the PD subcommittee to develop a stable of PD-focused articles.
  • Writing articles with a PD focus is encouraged but not required.

Time Commitment: 2-3 hours/month

Prerequisites:

To be considered as a member of the Publications Committee, a potential candidate must:

  • be a current member of NSCP in good standing, and
  • have demonstrated a willingness to assist in NSCP’s efforts.
