Ahmed Abdul-Jaleel

Ahmed Abdul-Jaleel is the Chief Compliance Officer and Vice President at Empower Capital Management, LLC and Empower Funds, Inc., where he oversees compliance strategy, policy, and governance reporting. He brings more than two decades of leadership experience in regulatory oversight, financial services, and auditing.

Ahmed previously served as an Assistant Regional Director in the Division of Examinations at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, leading multidisciplinary teams and national regulatory initiatives. He directed complex examinations and investigations that resulted in significant enforcement actions and investor protection outcomes. His experience includes extensive coordination with federal enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and U.S. Department of the Treasury. Earlier in his career, Ahmed was an Audit Manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he developed deep expertise in investment advisers, investment companies, valuation practices, and regulatory compliance.

Ahmed holds a B.S. in Accountancy with high honors from DePaul University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences and universities on securities regulation, governance, and compliance.
