Louis Dempsey, CAMS, CRCP, CSCP

Louis Dempsey is the Founder and President of Renaissance Regulatory Services, Inc., a boutique consulting firm specializing in regulatory compliance for investment advisers, broker-dealers and other financial institutions. With over thirty-five years of combined public and private sector experience, Louis brings a unique blend of regulatory expertise and operational insight to his clients. He has managed hundreds of engagements, including compliance examinations, mergers and acquisitions, creation of supervisory policies, and served as independent consultant and expert witness. His client base spans major national and multinational broker-dealers, investment advisers, banks, and law firms.


Louis previously led a compliance consulting and outsourcing business and served as a Branch Chief and Staff Accountant at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Miami Regional Office, as well as with the Florida Division of Securities. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a focus on international trade and finance from Florida State University and has earned multiple professional designations, including Certified Regulatory Compliance Professional (CRCP), Certified Securities Compliance Professional (CSCP), and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).

Louis served two terms on the NSCP Board of Directors and has participated on several NSCP committees including Chair of the Finance Committee.
