About the Position

Revelation Partners, an SEC-registered investment adviser, is seeking a Compliance Associate to report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer.

The Compliance Associate will play a key role in supporting and administering the Firm’s established compliance program. This individual will be a generalist and will have primary responsibility for several core compliance workstreams, including, but not limited to, Code of Ethics administration, marketing review, compliance testing, and maintenance of policies and training materials.

This role offers broad exposure across the Firm’s compliance framework and meaningful interaction with investment, operations, and senior leadership teams. The scope of responsibility is expected to expand as the Firm continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Governance & Code of Ethics

  • Administer the Firm’s Code of Ethics program through ComplySci, including employee onboarding, certifications, quarterly and annual attestations, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Review and monitor employee personal trading, political contributions, gifts and entertainment, and outside business activities for compliance with Firm policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the Firm’s conflicts of interest log and restricted list along with all related documentation.
  • Review marketing material and investor communications for compliance with the Advisers Act Marketing Rule and Firm policies.
  • Review and track non-disclosure agreements, subscription agreements and deal closing checklists.
  • Help facilitate the anti-money laundering program and investor transfer requests.

Regulatory Filings & Compliance Monitoring

  • Maintain compliance calendar ensuring key tasks and objectives are met during the year.
  • Track regulatory deadlines and maintain supporting documentation for all filings.
  • Monitor regulatory developments affecting registered investment advisers and private funds and assist in implementing updates to policies and procedures as needed.

Testing & Annual Review

  • Execute components of the Firm’s annual compliance program review in coordination with the Chief Compliance Officer and external consultants.
  • Conduct periodic compliance testing and surveillance activities, including email reviews, political contribution monitoring, and social media oversight.
  • Document testing procedures and results, track remediation efforts, and escalate identified issues appropriately.

Policies, Procedures & Training

  • Maintain and update the Firm’s Compliance Manual and support policies to ensure continued alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in coordination with the Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Assist in developing compliance training for new hires and ongoing employee education.
  • Support preparation of compliance-related reporting for senior management.
  • Maintain required books and records across compliance activities in accordance with Rule 204-2 under the Advisers Act.

External Coordination & Due Diligence

  • Support the Firm’s vendor and fund due diligence programs, including risk assessments, documentation review, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Complete investor due diligence questionnaires.
  • Coordinate with external compliance consultants, auditors, and regulators as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 2–4 years of experience in investment adviser compliance at a registered investment adviser, compliance consulting firm, or as a paralegal supporting private funds.
  • Working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and related regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with senior investment and operational professionals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ComplySci or a comparable employee compliance reporting system. 
  • Experience with compliance testing, Code of Ethics monitoring and/or marketing material review preferred.
  • Ability to evaluate opportunities for process improvements.

Location: This role is based out of our Sausalito, California office on a hybrid schedule (e.g. 1-2 days in office). We are also open to remote candidates currently residing in Utah who are able to travel to our Sausalito office on at least a quarterly basis. 

Compensation: The pay range for this role is expected to be between $95,000 - $115,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed and the applicant’s skill set.  The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other components may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
