On-Site Event Support
Overview
As an On-Site Event Support volunteer, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming and well-organized experience for attendees at NSCP events. You’ll assist with event logistics, help guide participants, and serve as a friendly, visible resource throughout the event.
Responsibilities
- Arrive early to assigned location or shift to receive instructions and prepare for attendee support
- Welcome attendees and provide directional guidance to session rooms, registration areas, and event spaces
- Serve as a table host or greeter, helping facilitate a positive and inclusive environment
- Assist with general event logistics, including distributing materials or answering basic questions
- Help manage attendee flow and ensure event spaces remain organized and accessible
- Provide support to speakers or staff as needed during sessions or activities
- Report any issues, concerns, or questions to NSCP event staff promptly
Qualifications
- Current NSCP member
- Friendly, dependable, and professional demeanor
- Comfortable interacting with attendees, speakers, and staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and handle light troubleshooting
Time Commitment
- Typically 60–75 minutes per assigned shift (may vary based on event needs)
