Overview

As an On-Site Event Support volunteer, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming and well-organized experience for attendees at NSCP events. You’ll assist with event logistics, help guide participants, and serve as a friendly, visible resource throughout the event.

Responsibilities

  • Arrive early to assigned location or shift to receive instructions and prepare for attendee support
  • Welcome attendees and provide directional guidance to session rooms, registration areas, and event spaces
  • Serve as a table host or greeter, helping facilitate a positive and inclusive environment 
  • Assist with general event logistics, including distributing materials or answering basic questions 
  • Help manage attendee flow and ensure event spaces remain organized and accessible 
  • Provide support to speakers or staff as needed during sessions or activities 
  • Report any issues, concerns, or questions to NSCP event staff promptly

Qualifications

  • Current NSCP member
  • Friendly, dependable, and professional demeanor 
  • Comfortable interacting with attendees, speakers, and staff 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to follow directions and handle light troubleshooting 

Time Commitment

  • Typically 60–75 minutes per assigned shift (may vary based on event needs)
