Overview
As a Conference Committee Member, you will play a vital role in shaping the success of the NSCP National Conference and other NSCP Events. The committee is responsible for overseeing the planning of the conference sessions and topics, ensuring the event meets its objectives and delivers value to all participants.
Responsibilities
- Collaboration & Planning: Work closely with fellow committee members and NSCP staff to develop the conference agenda and identify topics for additional NSCP events.
- Program Development: Contribute to the development of engaging and relevant content for various sessions, workshops, and keynote addresses.
- Promotion & Outreach: Help promote the conference within your professional network and community. Assist with social media and other outreach efforts to increase attendance and participation.
- Event Participation: Assist NSCP staff as needed, before, during, and after the conference to ensure smooth operations, and engage with attendees.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Contribute to post-event evaluations and feedback collection to assess the conference's success and identify areas for improvement for future events.
Qualifications
- Current NSCP member
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong foundation in compliance and regulatory requirements, with ongoing awareness of new and evolving trends
- Knowledge of NSCP’s mission, values, and target audience
Time Commitment
- This is a volunteer position requiring participation in monthly committee meetings, as well as time dedicated to idea development and review between meetings. The time commitment may vary depending on project needs.
- Approximately 1-2 hours/month
- One year commitment
