DEI Advisory Committee Member
Overview
The DEI Advisory Committee provides guidance and strategic advice to the NSCP Board of Directors and NSCP staff. The Committee meets on an as-needed basis to support organizational priorities and advance NSCP’s commitment to an inclusive and equitable professional community.
Responsibilities
- Guidance: Provide insights, recommendations, and perspectives on DEI-related matters to support informed decision-making by NSCP leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Collaboration: Work with fellow Committee members, Board representatives, and NSCP staff.
- Participation: Attend DEI Advisory Committee meetings as needed and actively contribute to discussions.
- Alignment: Help ensure that NSCP’s policies, programs, and strategic initiatives reflect and advance the organization’s DEI commitments and mission.
Qualifications
- Current NSCP member
- Experience or demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices
- Strong communication, collaboration, and listening skills
- Ability to engage in thoughtful, respectful dialogue on complex and sensitive topics
- High level of discretion and confidentiality required
- Familiarity with NSCP’s mission and a willingness to support and advance its efforts
Time Commitment
- This is a volunteer position with participation in meetings scheduled on an as-needed basis. Time commitment may vary depending on organizational priorities and initiatives.
