Overview

The DEI Advisory Committee provides guidance and strategic advice to the NSCP Board of Directors and NSCP staff. The Committee meets on an as-needed basis to support organizational priorities and advance NSCP’s commitment to an inclusive and equitable professional community.

VOLUNTEER FORM

Responsibilities

  • Guidance: Provide insights, recommendations, and perspectives on DEI-related matters to support informed decision-making by NSCP leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Collaboration: Work with fellow Committee members, Board representatives, and NSCP staff.
  • Participation: Attend DEI Advisory Committee meetings as needed and actively contribute to discussions.
  • Alignment: Help ensure that NSCP’s policies, programs, and strategic initiatives reflect and advance the organization’s DEI commitments and mission.

Qualifications

  • Current NSCP member
  • Experience or demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and listening skills
  • Ability to engage in thoughtful, respectful dialogue on complex and sensitive topics
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality required
  • Familiarity with NSCP’s mission and a willingness to support and advance its efforts

Time Commitment

  • This is a volunteer position with participation in meetings scheduled on an as-needed basis. Time commitment may vary depending on organizational priorities and initiatives.
  • One-year term commitment
