Overview

NSCP Speakers are subject matter experts who share their knowledge and insights leading in-person sessions and virtual webinars throughout the year.  Speakers play an important role in advancing professional education, fostering discussion, and supporting NSCP’s mission.

SPEAKER GUIDELINES   SPEAKER APPLICATION

Responsibilities

  • Presentation: Deliver educational presentations or participate in panel discussions at NSCP national conferences, regional events, or virtual webinars.
  • Content Development: Prepare high-quality, relevant, and accurate content tailored to a professional audience.
  • Engagement: Facilitate meaningful discussion and respond to audience questions in a clear and professional manner.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with NSCP staff in advance of the event to review topics, materials, and logistics.
  • Professionalism: Represent NSCP in a manner consistent with its standards of excellence and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Subject matter expertise relevant to compliance, regulatory, legal, financial services, or related fields
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to engage a professional audience
  • Prior speaking or teaching experience a plus, but not required
  • Ability to develop clear, organized, and informative content
  • Knowledge of and alignment with NSCP’s mission, vision and values

Time Commitment

  • Time commitment varies based on event type and format
  • Preparation time typically ranges from 2–10 hours per session, depending on topic complexity and format (presentation, panel, or webinar)
  • In-person conference and regional event speakers should expect time for travel and onsite participation
  • Virtual webinar participation typically includes a 60–90 minute session plus preparation and coordination time
